I love my grandparents. They were there for me the minute I arrived in the United States. I have been blessed with both sets of grandparents. My mom's parents live close by. My grandfather will be 97 in June and my grandmother will be 92 in April of 2019. My Mom is the caregiver for them and I try to help her anyway I can. She has come across a lot of really neat products and came up with great ideas that help them as their memory fades. As she kept finding things and making things, I thought it would be a great idea to share with others. The things she has found to be helpful is helping to make my grandparents home safe for them to remain living there. Since I love to make films, I figured I would film some of the items and add them to my website. I would share with you with a link where to find the items. My Mom thought it was a great idea.

When my grandmother was able to take her own medicine, my mother got this pill dispenser (about 2 years ago). It is unbelievable how small some pills are and how they change the colors of them when you refill them....we don't know how any elderly person can manage their pills. I help my mom put the pills in this locked container. There are multiple types on Amazon and sell for $58-79. They all work alike. Can be programed to make an alert noise or just have the flashing light. My mom has the flashing light and then when you tip the dispenser over to release the pills, the light stops. The dispenser will move on the next scheduled time. Very helpful and can give elders some independence without making them have to read all the pills and figure out what to take.
Purchased these lights, along with others, from Amazon. They are very good motion sensor lights and can help with safety for everyone who walks around in the dark.
