So for my BIG 30th my parents surprised me with an overnight trip. They know I love nature and I hope to one day have an Airstream. They found AutoCamp, an Airstream Hotel chain. There are three locations, Greenville, Santa Barbara and soon Yosemite (Scheduled to open in March). We drove up, stopped for lunch in Petaluma, and then straight to AutoCamp. I was really surprised. Great place, they have 23 airstreams and we were right by the creek. It was beautiful and peaceful. It was raining that whole day, but it was still nice. They had a mutual clubhouse with fire pit (one inside, one outside) and they had games, books and complimentary Hot Cocoa and Hot Cider. We ate my birthday dinner at a great little restaurant, Boon Eat + Drink. If you ever find yourself up that way, stop there, great service and great food, right on Main Street. The next morning we headed for Armstrong State Park, it's like Muir Woods on steroids. Stopped in Duncans Mills for lunch at Cape Fear, coffee at Gold Coast Coffee and Bakery, then on to Jenner to see where the Russian River meets the Ocean. It was a fun and memorable birthday.
